EHL Team2

Charlotte Munro

Charlotte is a current Nutritional Therapy (BSc Hons) student at the University of West London, passionate about positive nutrition, smashing societal norms, punk rock, anti-diet anarchy, and fostering mental and physical resilience.

Charlotte came to nutrition by way of healing her own disordered relationship with food. It was through periods of relapse, recovery, and self-ruination that she came to find the innate power of nutrition in the process of reinvention after denial and self-decimation. As a result, this informs her own practice and fuels her belief in dietary abundance and dismantling the idea that women should shrink. She believes that there is a beauty in “becoming” and we blossom through adversity.

Charlotte initially completed a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Gender Studies and an academic focus on feminist theories about the positionality of the (female) body / embodiment and body politics. This further informs her nutritional practice and anti-diet mentality. Charlotte is fervent that nutrition should NEVER be synonymous with weight loss, and should instead be the foundation of “health gain” and a tool for self-empowerment, longevity, and a tool to ensure you can live to the fullest and embrace your own awesome.

When Charlotte isn’t busy studying and researching, you’ll find her writing / cooking plant-powered recipes, lifting heavy weights while listening to heavy metal, going for long walks in nature (desperately trying to befriend passing animals), spending time with loved ones, or curled up with a good book and a cup of herbal tea.

Detailed qualifications, training and registrations:

Bachelor of Arts (Honours) – Gender and Women’s Studies

Bachelor of Science (Honours) Nutritional Therapy (in progress)

Diploma Applied Nutrition & Culinary Medicine

Level 2 & 3 Diploma in Gym Instruction
